Not a whole lot to report this week; we did do a small tribute to rapper Guru, who died last week. A damn shame, besides being way too young (43), he never patched things up with DJ Premier, we think. Anyway, we weren't too big on that Jazzmatazz thing (except that first record, which is pretty good), so we played some Gangstarr instead...

Saturday was Record Store Day, so we decided to do a small special around this theme... Basically, we played tracks from the limited items we did manage to score, which was actually most of the stuff we wanted in the first place. We did however miss out on Sonic Youth's Hits Are For Squares double-lp. Bummer. Speaking of bummers, Type O Negative-frontman Peter Steele died last thursday at the age of 48. Cause of death seemde to be heart failure. We are huge fans of early Type O Negative and even more so we are Carnivore-fans (Steele's band before Type O). We did a little eulogy at the start of this week's Tegentonen and played that scorching Hendrix-cover from their second album as a tribute to Steele.
