We literally had to run to make it to the studio in time this week. Once again, we made it just in time and played a bunch of real cool records. Anyway, those who tuned in had the pleasure of listening to music from Godspeed You Black Emperor, Tindersticks, Sharon Jones & The Dap-Kings, Aloe Blacc, Suzanne Vega and James Wilsey.

Man, we sure love that new Thermals single here at Tegentonen. I Don't Believe You sounds just as good as their debut-lp More Parts Per Million. Also this week brand new music from Les Savy Fav, whose new record isn't out until somewhere next month. Almost forgot to mention Faberyayo's new - free - mixtape Het Grote Gedoe and a shitload of classics from Jay Reatard, Girls Against Boys, Obits, Sharon Jones & The Dap-Kings, Warren Zevon, Miles Davis, Chris Isaak and - last, but certainly not least - The Soft Pack.

Hot Snakes reunion in San Diego

So, what do you get when you have Obits and The Night Marchers touring together? A Hot Snakes reunion? Well, it is something you'd hope to see. Everyone in attendance at The Casbah in San Diego got exactly that last week. Obits' Rick Froberg teamed up with The Night Marchers' John Reis, Gar Wood and Jason Kourkounis for an encore featuring three songs from their epic debut Automatic Midnight. Apparently this impromptu reunion was something decided during the soundcheck. Sounds & looks great, check out these clips:
